Pam was my childminder from when I was about five years old. I have many happy memories of spending time at Derby Road after school and in the holidays and being included in the occasional trip out and family event. Pam and George's daughter Jo became my best friend and all this time later, still is, so those happy thoughts and memories are often discussed when we're together. Things that remind me of Pam and bring a smile to my face are pressure cookers, the smell of boiled bacon and cabbage, the warmth and welcome I always felt, her smile, traditional cooking, tins of biscuits, and much more. She made my wedding dress too and was a part of my life for a very long time. Rest in Peace Pam, love from Sarah xx
